Greetings! I descend from people from the Lavik, Vetleford, and Flatekval farms, among others in the valley. My g-g-grandfather, Anders Simonson Flatekval came to the Meland and Ovstedal farms before leaving for America - so my mother's family name was Ofstedahl. I have done lots of research on the American side of the Laviks and Ofstedahls and visited Eksingedalen in 1997. I have a few photos of people from Norway that were brought over by/or sent to the emigrants - and I have no names to go with them.
